St.Johns, Historic Homes, Newfoundland, Canada 08

Description : Three fires in the 1800s devastated the city, the most significant being the Great Fire of 1892, which destroyed much of the eastside of the city, including many homes and the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, one of the city,s most historic buildings. Each time, St. John,s slowly rebuilt and restored much of what was lost.
