Description : Located in the heart of Old Montreal, Montreal City Hall is not only one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in town, it,s also the administrative centre for the mega-city of Montreal. Constructed between 1872 and 1878, City Hall.

Spectacularly lit up as soon as the sun goes down, Montreal City Hall is perched at the top of the Place Jacques Cartier and is a must see during any visit to Old Montreal. And for all those history buffs out there, it was on the balcony of this historic buiding that the visiting French President Charles de Gaulle made his infamous Vive le Quebec Libre speech in 1967.
