Description : Liard Trail, is the gateway to Fort Simpson and the spectacular Nahanni River basin.
The 244 mile Liard Highway (also known as the Liard Trail) was opened in 1984 to replace the winter road that connected Fort Nelson, British Columbia and Fort Simpson.
