Description : The four tipis in the main exhibit hall are made from buffalo hide, so take a moment to feel them and see how much work they took to make. The first tipi in the Main Exhibit Hall is smaller and called a dog day tipi because it was moved by dog. The other three larger tipis in the Main Exhibit Hall are called horse day tipis because they were moved by horse.

Inside each of the tipis is a different perspective of the everyday lives of the people who occupied this valley for so many years. The first tipi has a display of pottery, the second has various legends told by elders, the third tipi holds weapons and tools that were made and used, and the last tipi exhibits several winter activities that kept the plains people busy during the cold months inside their warm dwelling.
