Description : The Pigeon River is also steeped in history as it was a main thoroughfare for voyageurs and fur traders who worked for the Northwest Company. The Pigeon River Voyageur Route - part of which runs through the park - was the preferred way west and primary route of these hardy explorers between 1722 and 1797.
