Description : The Musée de la Gaspésie is anchored at the spot overlooking the magnificent Gaspé Bay where Jacques Cartier took possession of New France in 1534. The museum features the largest exhibition ever created about Jacques Cartier’s first voyage in the New World. As the only regional museum on the Gaspé Peninsula, the Musée de la Gaspésie also showcases local history and culture, highlighting the collective treasures of the Gaspé and the works of Gaspé artists.
