Port Daniel, Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec, Canada CM11-04

Description : Established in 1845, this locality owes its name to the captain of a merchant boat from Dieppe, Charles Daniel. The population has many origins : French, Scottish, Jersian, Acadian, Irish, Micmac and some from the Magdalen Islands.
There are many heritage homes in this locality. The most impressive is certainly Hotel Legrand. It was bought by the municipality in 1993 to be restored.
