Description : Squamish is located midway between Vancouver and Whistler, and accessed by the Sea-to-Sky Highway 99, one of the most scenic coastal highways in the world, the highway is carved out of the cliffs and runs along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean Howe Sound fjord.

During the 1850s gold miners came to find gold and an easier route to the Interior. After this, a cattle trail was built between Lillooet to the Lynn Valley, but it was only used for one year because it was too dangerous.
